Gertrelle Cody Brown Tate

Mrs. Gertrelle Cody Brown Tate, age 77, of Nicholson, GA died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Tate was born in Jackson County, GA to the late Roy and Lula Peppers Cody. She was a member of New Harmony Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Mrs. Tate is survived by her husband, Charles Odis Tate of Nicholson; son, George Weyman Brown of Athens; daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine and Rick Coile and Marie and Jerry Pittman all of Nicholson; sister, Latrelle Bennett of Maysville; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Thursday, May 20, 2010 at New Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Kenneth Dillard, Sr. and Rev. Joe Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 5 to 8 PM.
