Betty Jean Bennett Combs

Betty Jean Bennett Combs, age 77, a native of Cumming, passed away Monday, May 17, 2010. She was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Combs was preceded in death by her mother and father, Hubert and Nell Bennett; 2 brothers, Kenneth and Raymond Bennett; sister, Frances Bennett.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Connie and Steven Motes of Cumming and Carol Ashby of Atlanta; brothers, Clifton Bennett of Cumming, and Donnie Bennett of Gainesville; sisters, Martha Wood of Cumming, Brenda Hendricks of Atlanta and Beverly Bennett of Cumming; Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 4:00pm at Harmony Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Bennett, Rev. Jeff Wilkie and Rev. Vernie Worley officiating. Mrs. Combs will lie in state at the church at 3:30pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, May 18th from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm and Wednesday, May 19th from 9:00 am until the hour of service.
