Inez Gilstrap Head

Mrs. Inez Gilstrap Head, age 72, of Dahlonega, GA died May 15, 2010.

Mrs. Head was a native and lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. She was a caregiver at Foothills Retirement Home in Dahlonega and was a member of Salem Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Mrs. Head was the daughter of the late Dillard and Martha Hampton Gilstrap and was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Head; son, Ricky Head; and sister, Mae Ferguson.

She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Glenda Sue and Perry Weaver, Dahlonega, GA; sisters, Ruby Gilstrap, Dahlonega, Opal Thompson, Gainesville, and Lois Miller, Dahlonega; brothers and sister-in-law, Claude and Nancy Gilstrap, Dahlonega, Carlton Gilstrap, Flowery Branch, and J.C. Gilstrap, Dahlonega; grandchildren and spouses, Russell Butler and Carol Jarrard, Cindy Butler and Bob Wallace, Adam Butler, Josh and Brandi Head, Jody and Debbie Weaver; great-grandchildren, Dustin Jarrard, Eli McMillian, Owen Butler, and Amy Lovell. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday May 18, 2010 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Michael Rodgers will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Bethlehem/Jones Chapel Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3 PM until 9 PM.
