Neallia Harmon Tanner

Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mrs. Neallia Harmon Tanner, age 76 of Clarkesville. Mrs. Tanner passé away Sunday, May 16, 2010. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Tuesday, may 18, 2010 from Nacoochee United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Shurtz and the Rev. Lyndon Eubanks officiating. Interment will be held prior to the services in the church cemetery

Mrs. Tanner was born in Cleveland, Ohio on November 3, 1933 to Neal F. Harmon and Virginia Blankenship Harmon.

Mrs. Tanner had a strong love for her family and her church and in addition had a passion for teaching and mentoring children. This love was evident in the many children she taught over the years. She was an active member of the Nacoochee United Methodist Church

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James Doug Tanner Sr., Clarkesville; sons and daughters in law, James Douglas and Cile Tanner Jr., Alpharetta; David Harmon and Michelle Tanner of Lawrenceville; daughter and son in law, Lisa Deeann and Keith Jones of McDonough; sister Ann Christopher of Moultrie. Mrs. Tanner is also survived by her 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild
