Thomas Parks Griffin, Sr

Funeral services for Thomas Parks Griffin, Sr. age 89 of Clermont will be held Wednesday May 19,2010 at 11:00 a.m. in Strickland Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday May18,2010 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Griffin died Sunday May 16,2010 after an extended illness.

The Rev. Jimmy Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in Christian Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Griffin was a native of Clermont, he was a retired mechanic and had worked for Bell Air Craft. He was a member of Christian Hill Baptist Church and served in The United States Army during WWII.

Mr. Griffin is survived by his Wife Pauline Griffin, one son, Thomas Parks Griffin, Jr. of Suwanee, one daughter, Polly Harrison of Gainesville, two sisters, Marie Cochran of Fairburn and Ruth Ann Hay of Douglasville, his Granddaughters, Kelly Peppers, Katherine Driggers, Heather Stang, and Susan Canady, a Grandson, Sean Griffin and 8 Great-Grand Children.
