James L. Young,

James L. Young, age 72, of Oliver Road, Flowery Branch , Georgia, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Landmark Hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, May 13, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park South with interment to follow in the Memorial Park South Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 13, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Young was born on July 18, 1937 to Roosevelt and Eula Young in Buford, Georgia. Mr. Young was employed by Ford Motor Company as a welder and retired after 33 1/2 years of service. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his mother, Eula Lee Bennett Young, daughter, Erica Young, brothers, Bobby Young, Steve Young, and Ricky Young.

Mr. Young is survived by his loving wife, Mary Young of Flowery Branch, son, Derry Young of Gainesville, daughter, Debbie Young of Flowery Branch, daughter and son-in-law, Dee and Felton Shelton of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie and David Jones of Macon, daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Dennis Meaders of Gainesville, father Roosevelt Young of Buford, brother, Larry Young of Buford, Johnny Young of Dahlonega, Lanory Young of Buford, sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Jimmy Peppers of Hoschton, sister Wa Nell Brook of Milwaukee, WI, and a host of nieces and nephews who love him and will miss him dearly.
