Stephen W. "Steve" McGonigle, age 47 of Cumming, GA passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010.
Steve is survived by his wife, Allison McGonigle of Cumming; daughter, Ryann Olivia McGonigle of Cumming; son, Lance Patrick McGonigle of Cumming; parents, Patrick and Shirley McGonigle of Powell, OH; brothers, Michael McGonigle of Houston, TX, Craig McGonigle of Houston, TX, Kevin (Debbie) McGonigle of Woodstock; sisters, Deborah (Paul Gabriel of Powell, OH, Donna (Russell) Harris of Atlanta; Kymberly (Thomas Straub of Bridgeport, WV and Trisha (Kevin) Neal of Milton.
Steve graduated from Chamblee High School where he played football and made many life-long friends and he attended Dekalb Community college. Steve was a wonderful Father who lived for his children. Steve was very talented and was instrumental for in the marketing success of the award winning documentary film, "Where Jesus Walked" which received Gold and Platinum awards. He was the creator and executive producer of the PBS children's television series, "The Reppies"; a series for which he received an Emmy Award.
In August 2000, Steve founded Triumph Marketing LLC and initiated the home video launch of the best selling film, "Left Behind -The Movie" and he built Triumph from a startup company to a major independent distributor to the home video DVD and VHS markets. Stephen W. McGonigle was a Christian and at the hour of his death, Angels took him to Heaven to join family and friends who predeceased him.
At Steve's request, his body was cremated. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, May 6, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Frank Richardson as celebrant. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
