Elizabeth Spires

Ivie Funeral Home announces memorial services for Elizabeth (Mama Ann) Spires of Homer who passed away on April 28 at the BJC Hospital. Born in Bibb County, she was the daughter of the late T. Hobart and Margaret Elizabeth Terry Durden.

She was the widow of Michael Gregory Spires. Survivors include a sister, Rebecca Simmons; nieces and nephew, Sheila Dixon, Kristin Simmons and Jason Kennedy; four great nieces and nephews. Good friends included Jo Anne Tomlinson, Winford Bales, Wayne Dixon and Tony Meeks.

Memorial services for Mama Ann Spires will be conducted on Saturday at 1 PM from the Community Chapel Church located at 103 Thyatira Community Church Rd. in Jefferson with Loy Reed officiating. The body was cremated.
