Irene Lemley

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday May 2, 2010 in Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Irene Lemley, 90, of Gainesville formerly of Jackson County. Rev. Milton Harris and Rev. Douglas Merck officiating. Burial will be in Center Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday 2pm-4pm and 6pm-9pm at the Funeral Home. Mrs. Lemley was born in Jackson Co. and lived there most of her life. She was the daughter of the late William Monroe Mote and Jessie Freeman Mote . She retired from Wilkens Industries and was a member of Oconee Baptist Church . She was a loving Mother and Grand mother . She was preceded in death by her husband Woodrow Lemley, a daughter Doris Lord and 2 Grandchildren . Survivors are Daughters and Sons-in-law, Peggy and Robert Smith, Gainesville , Ga. , Martha Jo & Lester LeCompte, Plainfield, Indiana. Brother, Ralph Mote, Pendergrass, Ga., Sisters Selma Sexton, Cumming, Ga. , Mildred Brumbalow, Pendergrass, Ga. , 11 Grandchildren , 19 Great Grandchildren , 12 Great Great Grandchildren.
