Ruthie Mae Gresham

Mrs. Ruthie Mae Gresham, 81 of Gainesville died Sunday April 25, 2010 at the Emory University Hospital.

Born in Citronelle, Alabama, Mrs. Gresham had lived in Gainesville since 1956. She was the daughter of the late Harvey A. and Ivy Mae Reynolds Connell. She was retired from the Social Security Administration and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Gainesville. Mrs. Gresham is preceded in death by her husband, Treadwell Gresham and two daughters, Stephanie "Stevie" Gresham and Constance Mae Branning.

Survivors include her daughter; Kathryn "K-Jo"Gresham Sholette and her husband, Stanley Sholette, Tampa, Fla., brothers; Harvey Connell, Huntsville, Alabama and Jim Connell, Shreveport, La., grandchildren; Dorothy Branning, Rachel Courtney Howell and her husband, Larry Ali Howell, all of Gainesville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 28, 2010 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday April 28, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
