Mattie Dowell, age 62, of Gainesville died Sunday, April 25, 2010.

She is survived by her husband Robert Dowell Sr., daughters, Pamela Wilmont, Rita (Mike) Walker, Pamela (Derrick) Thomas, Sonia Bell, Comfort Dowell and Terri (Stanley) Taylor; sons, Pastor Stacy (Teresa)Hunter, Stay Pickens and Robert Dowell Jr.; sisters, Late Mary Jean Young, Beverly (Ricardo) Reed, Clois Turner, Lillian Goss and Kelly Goss; brothers, Zachery (Stephanie) Pickens, Jeffery (Kimberly) Goss, Leroy (Gloria) Goss and Jeffery (Carolyn) Goss; best friends, Janice Gardner and Eugene Rucker; special care takers, Lynn Tate, Pamela Thomas and Shan Mize and a host of relative and friends.

Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, May 1, 2010 at noon at the St. John Baptist Church, 741 E.E. Butler PKWY, Gainesville, GA 770-532-0511.
