Martha Elizabeth Childs

Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Childs, age 74, of Commerce, GA died Friday, April 23, 2010 at her residence. Mrs. Childs was born in Fulton County, GA to the late Jack R. and Lillian Murphy Doss. She was a member of Galilee Christian Church and was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Childs was preceded in death by her son, Robert L. Childs.
Mrs. Childs is survived by her husband, Sammy L. Childs of Commerce; daughters, Martha L. Mejias and Mary A. Green both of Commerce; brother, Jack R. Doss of Barnesville; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be Sunday May 2, 2010 at 2:00 PM from Galilee Christian Church with Mr. Tom Plank officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1-2 PM at the church. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Well Spring Camp, 559 Rucker Rd., Jefferson, GA 30549.
