Claudia Sargent

Claudia Sargent, age 91, of Cochran Road, Gainesville, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, April 19, 2010 at 11:00am in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home North-Riverside Chapel with interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Michael Kirby will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 18, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sargent was born on December 13, 1918 to the late John and Lela Smith in Hall County. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Sargent is preceded in death by her loving huband, George Sargent, and her son, Larry Sargent.

Mrs. Sargent is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerald L and Doris Sargent, Sr. of Gainesville, daughter-in-law, Jo Ward of Lake City, Fl., grandson, Kelden Merck of Banks County, granddaughter, Karrie Bundy of Gainesville, grandson, Jerald L. Sargent, Jr. of Gainesville, grandson, Joel Sargent of Hickory, NC., grandson, Daryl Sargent of Tampa, Fl., granddaughter, Cassie Giebeig of Lake City, FL., and 13 great grandchildren who will miss her dearly.
