Marthena Pollard Gilbert

Marthena Pollard Gilbert, 86, of Hoschton died April 15, 2010.

Born in Senoia, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Martha Cates Pollard. She left Senoia after graduating from Senoia High School and moved to Atlanta where she worked as a telephone operator for the telephone company. She met Lewis Edwin Gilbert and they were married on June 7th, 1946. Together, they opened a family restaurant and eventually started a boarding house business, Gilbertâ
