Viola Mae Nix

Viola Mae Nix, 91 of Prospect Avenue, Atlanta passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 in Gainesville after a period of declining health. Born August 25, 1918, she had lived in Gainesville for the past 6 years. She was a member of New Testament Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Clinton L. Nix, children; Ralph Nix, Billy Nix and Barbara Ann Nix Bailey.

Survivors include her daughters-in-law, Marquita Nix Moore of Gainesville and Marie Nix of McDonough; grandchildren, Pam Cole, Blake Nix, Matt Nix, Amber Carter, Amy Pope, Dean Nix, Don Nix, Deeann Nix Ashmore, Russell Bailey and Robin Rich; a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.

Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday April 18, 2010 Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Rd., Stockbridge, GA. The Pastor Curtis Turner will officiate.
