Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. Denver Boyd Moore, age 59, of Jefferson who passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Mr. Moore was born on April 20, 1950 in Jefferson, a son to Mrs. Virginia Moore of Jefferson and the late Mr. Ernest Moore. Mr. Moore was the manager of Electronic Sales Company in Gainesville and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Wainwright, during the Vietnam War. Mr. Moore enjoyed solo flying, saltwater fishing, motorcycle riding, working in his shop and many outdoor activities. His brother, Lewis Moore, preceded him in death.
Survivors, including his mother, are his wife of 36 years, Pamela June Wallace Moore, Jefferson; sisters, Linda Moore Hardigree, Atlanta, Frances Moore Balthazor, Jefferson; brothers, Wesley Moore, Randy Moore, Vinson Moore and Thomas Moore, all of Jefferson; several nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will be held on a later date.
