Florence Alice Holt

Florence Alice Holt, age 90, formerly of Marion, Kansas, died April 10, 2010 in Demorest, Georgia.

Born November 20, 1919 on a farm near Pilsen, Kansas, she was the daughter of William Louis and Ella Cerny Silhan. On August 9, 1952, she married Arnold Lester Holt in Pilsen, Kansas. Florence was a faithful member of Holy Family Parish in Marion, Kansas for many years and most recently a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Clarkesville, Georgia. She spent her life taking care of those she loved and enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Parish in Marion, Kansas and interment will be at Marion Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church at a future date to be announced. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold L. Holt.

Left to cherish her memory are son and daughter in law, Terry & Ann Holt of Marion, Kansas, daughter and son in law, Jean & Robert Spear of Clarkesville, Georgia, and daughter and son in law, Carol and Marshall Sealine of Marshalltown, Iowa. Survivors also include 11 grandchildren, and 3 precious great grandchildren.
