Mrs. Lora Belle Dodd, age 98, of Forsyth County passed away Monday, April 12, 2010. She was a member of Brookwood Baptist Church. Mrs. Dodd was preceded in death by her parents, Duff and Emma McClure; husband, Jewell Dodd; granddaughter, Melissa Dawn Harris and eleven siblings.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Marjorie and Neill Harris of Gainesville and Jean and Doug Blackstock of Marble Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Judy Dodd of Demorest; grandchildren, Christie and David Merrick, Cindy and Rodney Martin, Angie and Brian Fussell and Chet and Monica Blackstock; great-grandchildren, Evan Merrick, Abby, Eli and Emily Martin, Emma, Jake and Gill Fussell, Ana Lora and Hudson Blackstock; sister, Audie Beshers of Tallapoosa, GA, several other relatives also survive.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 15, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerral Richards, Rev. Donnie Nix and Mr. Chet Blackstock officiating. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 14th from 12:00 pm until 9:00 pm and Thursday, April 15th from 11:30 am until the hour of service.
