Ruby Inez Stover Towe

Mrs. Ruby Inez Stover Towe, age 77 of Gainesville, GA



It is with heartfelt sadness that we must announce the passing of our loved one, Ruby on Sunday, April 11, 2010 after an extended illness. She passed away with dignity and peace.



Mrs. Towe was originally from Suches, GA in Union County and was the daughter of the late William Oscar Stover and Nora Gilreath Stover and was married to Melvin Homer Towe from 1950 until his death in 2002.



Mrs. Towe attended Northside Family Worship Center and is a charter member there. Ruby was an excellent cook and loved children. She retired from Northeast Georgia Medical Daycare center where she daily cared for the babies there with much love and tenderness. She was always making gifts for the children to give to their parents on specials occasions and never forgot birthdays. She also loved gardening and took pride in making her home a welcome haven for all that entered.



She is survived by her daughter, Linda Towe Vines, son-in-law, Steve Vines of Cumming, GA; a son, Ricky Melvin Towe and daughter-in-law, Linda Owenby Towe of Oakwood; three grandchildren, Don Andrew Stephens and wife Bonnie Stephens, Chadrick Melvin Towe and wife Sandy Towe and Amanda Nicole Towe. She has two great-grandchildren, Paige Hope Towe and Kara Michelle Towe all of Gainesville, GA.; one brother, Kenneth Stover and wife Wilma Stover of Blairsville, GA; sisters, Irene Stover Towe and brother-in-law Edward J. Towe of Gainesville, GA, Hazel Stover Anderson and brother-in-law Gary F. Anderson of Lula, GA, Olene Stover Dyer and brother-in-law Lewis Dyer of Blairsville, GA, Ruth Stover Burke and brother-in-law Dale Burke of Buford along with a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and loved ones.



Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Northside Family Worship Center on Cleveland Highway in Gainesville, GA with the Reverend Gary Olsten, Reverend Dennis Taylor and Reverend Tommy Towe officiating. The body will lie in state at Northside Family Worship Center from 1:30-2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 12, 2010 from 6:00-9:00 PM and Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 5:00-9:00 PM at the funeral home.
