Mrs. Ola Belle Davis, age 93, of Forsyth County, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Davis; grandson, James M. O'Dowd; sisters, Amy Teal and Jewell Belcher.
Mrs. Davis was an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church for over 30 years; a member of Chestatee Homemakers Club, Elizabeth Smith UM Women's Club, secretary of the Administrative Council at church, office secretary for the Atlanta Art's Festival. She loved to travel and has visited all 50 states.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie & Gene Hammond of VT, Darleen and David Cornelison of Fayetteville and Connie and William O'Dowd of Warner Robins; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Jimmy Edwards of Charlotte, NC; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Hammond, Mark Hammond, Debbie Bell, Cathy Jones, Patrick O'Dowd and Jerry O'Dowd; great-grandchildren, Rick, Chris and Kari Hudson, Nathan and Kelsey Jones and Luke Lozada; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 11:00 am at New Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Larry Patton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, April 5th at Ingram Funeral Home from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
