Coy Gilbert Etris

Obituary Date: Tuesday, March 30, 2010
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday April 1, 2010, at Temple Baptist Church for Coy Gilbert Etris, 87, Lula, Ga. .

Rev. James Ransom,, Rev. Douglas Gaines and Rev. Hoyt Skelton Officiating. Burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday 2pm-4pm and 6pm- 9pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Etris passed away Tuesday at New Horizons North following an extended illness. Mr. Etris was born in Dawson County and had lived most of his life in Hall County. He was the son of the late Albert Luther & Stella Mae Clark Etris. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII .
He retired as a bus driver for R.I.N.G. He was a long time faithful member of Temple Baptist Church, serving as Choir Director over 30 years, Bus Driver, Church Clerk and had a great love for the Choir.He was preceded in death by his wife Omie McIntyre Etris, Brother Albert Etris, Jr., and a grandson Thomas Campbell .

Survivors Include, Son & daughter-in-law, Joseph "Joe" Albert & Martha Etris, Lula,Ga. , Daughter, Brenda Ann Etris, Lula, Ga. , Linda & Johnny Brookshire, Lula, Ga. , Vickie & Rev. Hewell Campbell , Gainesville. Sister, Mrs. Loy Patterson, Gainesville. 6 Grandchildren , 10 Great Grandchildren.
