Ruth Frady Stroud Littleton Kerby

Obituary Date: Monday, March 29, 2010
Funeral services for Ruth Frady Stroud Littleton Kerby, age 75, of Hiawassee, formerly of Habersham County, will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 1:00 PM from the Antioch Baptist Church. Rev. Harold Ledford and Rev. Brian Stephens will officiate with burial to follow the service in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Kerby passed away Sunday, March 28, 2010, at her residence in Hiawassee, Georgia.

Born in Habersham County on November 19, 1934, Mrs. Kerby was the daughter of the late C.A. and Girlie Dodd Frady. Mrs. Kerby was retired from Milliken and after her retirements she worked as a C.N.A. Mrs. Kerby was a member at Antioch Baptist Church until moving to Towns County where she was a member at Macedonia Baptist Church in Hiawassee. Mrs. Kerby had a great love for life, she was quite the optimist. Everyone she met, she loved. She loved to sing and dance. Mrs. Kerby was actively singing with groups in nursing homes and at various functions. She even served as an usher at the Georgia Mountain Music Hall. Mrs. Kerby was also active with the Towns County Lions Club. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husbands Hubert Stroud, Roy Littleton, and Jeff Kerby.

Survivors include daughters and sons in law Donna and Paul McAuliffe of Hayesville, North Carolina and Michelle and Robin Neal of Habersham County, brothers James Frady of Clarkesville, Fred Frady of Gainesville, Eugene Frady and Morris Frady both of Mt. Airy, sisters Christine Williams of Mt. Airy, Dorothy Wynn of Fitzgerald, and Joyce McLeer of Marietta, grandchildren Amanda Dewis (Neil), Sarah McAuliffe, Ethan Neal, and Kristyn Neal and great grandchildren Katie, Liam, and Breana Dewis, as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at Macedonia Baptist Church in Hiawassee on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 from 6:30 â
