Alvin (Al) Earl Brown

Alvin (Al) Earl Brown, 75, of Woodstock passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 after a courageous battle with melanoma. He was born in Tellico Plains, TN on September 29, 1934. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Buster and Charles Brown and half-sister, Vesta Lee Evans.

Al graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Industrial Engineering in 1958. He also received his Masters in Business degree from Auburn University. He went to work for Robbins Air Force Base as a civilian engineer in 1958 where he worked for 13 years. In 1971, Al joined the United States Postal Service where he enjoyed a successful career for 36 years. He is fondly remembered by his family, co-workers, and lifelong friends.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mamie Lou Brown of Woodstock; son, Douglas Brown of Alpharetta; daughter, Susan Stachura of Johnâ
