Rev. Paul J. Waters

Rev. Paul J. Waters, age 89 of Clarkesville, co-founder and Senior Pastor Emeritus of Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church, has gone on to his reward on Sunday, March 28, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rev. Lillian C. Waters, parents Carlton and Lila Sosebee Waters, brothers, Ernest, Robert, Joe and Roy Waters and son-in-law Roy Wilson. He ministered in many capacities from 1962 until recently; he served as a missionary to the Caribbean Islands, and served as Secretary of Worldwide Christian Fellowship for 12 years. He was well known for his outstanding singing voice on the radio and in gospel crusades throughout the United States, Germany, Mexico and the Caribbean Islands. Rev. Waters attended Georgia Tech and served in the Army during World War II.

Surviving are daughter, Rev. Linda Paula Waters of Clarkesville; daughter and son-in-law, Rev. Janice and Eddie Sudderth of Clarkesville; sons and daughter-in-laws, Dr. John C. and Dr. Marilyn Waters and David Timothy and Clifteen Waters both of Alpharetta and Stephen P. and Catherine E. Waters of Hollywood; sister-in-law, Mary Waters; he is also survived by 09 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Faith Tabernacle Full Gospel Church with Mr. Bert Swick and Dr. John C. Waters officiating. Interment will follow in Amyâ
