Mr. Jimmy Carlton Holcomb, age 76 of Cleveland, passed away Friday, March 26, 2010 at Northeast Georgia Medical.
Mr. Holcomb was born in White County on November 11, 1933 to the late Tom W. and Kate Pitchford Holcomb. He was the owner of H&S Autos and was a faithful member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church and choir. He loved his family, church, Mossy Creek Campground and sharing his garden. Mr. Holcomb was an avid golfer with the regular foursome with a standing tee-time on Sunday afternoon for over 25 years. He was also a member of Shriners, Yonah Masonic Lodge # 382 F&AM, and DFACS Advisory Board.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Sosebee Holcomb, Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Lyn and Cheryl Holcomb, Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Keith Nordan, Cleveland, grandchildren and spouses, Mendi and Wesley Loggins, Cleveland, Happy and Carl Bolle, Gainesville, Whitney and Brent Roberts, Cleveland; grandson, Jay Holcomb, Cleveland; brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas Lee and Iva Lee Holcomb, Cleveland; Joe Edd and Dee Holcomb, Cleveland; great-grandchildren, Skylar and Sawyer Loggins, Luke and Alec Bolle, Landen Roberts; special aunt, Oma Holland, Gainesville.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 P.M. Monday, March 29, 2010 from Mossy Creek United Methodist Church. The Rev. Nanci Hicks will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4-9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
