Fannie Lou Lee

Obituary Date: Friday, March 26, 2010
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00p.m. Sunday March 28th in the Ward's Funeral Home chapel for Mrs. Fannie Lou Lee age 91 of Gainesville. The Rev. Michael Kirby will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 27th from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m and 6:00p.mto 8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Lee passed away Friday, March 26th, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Lee was born, and lived all her life, in Hall County. She was the daughter of the late Kater Lee Cochran and Pearl Elizabeth Green Cochran. She was in the first graduating class of Riverbend High School and played on the basketball team. She was a homemaker and was active with her husband in operating their dairy farm. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church for over 80 years where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years and was a member of the Joy Sunday School Class. She was active in Bible School, the GA's, The Nursing Home Music Ministry at Limestone North, Young at Heart Seniors Citizens of Corinth. She headed up the Sunshine Ministry for Senior Shut-Ins of Corinth. She was a great seamstress and made costumes and decorations for church plays and had a great love for children and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmar R. Lee; sister, Inez Sears and brother, Charlie Cochran.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law Ronnie and Janice Lee, Statham; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Lee Glass, Gainesville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Perino and Mary Cochran, Gainesville, George and Joyce Cochran, Gainesville; brother, Henry Cochran; grandchildren, Randy Glass, Rob Lee, Heather Lee, Christy Lee-Trust; great-grandchildren, Ellie Lee, Mia Lee, Sadie Lee, Audrey Lee-Trust.
