James Mitchell Wood

Ivie Funeral Home announces the death of James Mitchell Wood, 59, of Nicholson who died on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at his residence. Born in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Austin and Lena Wood and was married to Patricial Arlene Roach Wood of the residence.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Wood. Survivors, along with his wife, include daughters, Debbie Nix and Donna Walls, both of Hull; sisters, Hilda Wilson of Commerce and Patricia Muthee of Gainesville; brother, Billy Wood of Nicholson; grandchildren, Jennifer Loggins, Kasie Nix, Harlee Roberson and Hunter Walls; great-grandchild, Alexis Jade Price.

Mr. Wood was cremated and a memorial services has been scheduled for Friday, April 2, 2010 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Ivie Funeral home.
