Douglas Clay Herndon, 47, of Flowery Branch passed away suddenly on March 23, 2010.
Clay leaves behind his devoted wife of 16 years, Melissa; and his beloved son, Drew, age 15. Clay was preceded in death by his father, who lived with his family, in 2007, and his mother in 2001. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Lewis Pierce of Braselton; his brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Pat Herndon of Duluth; and his brother and sister-in-law, Scott and Carol Herndon of Alpharetta.
Although Clay recently changed employment, he had been employed by Lake Springs Assisted Living in Buford as the Maintenance Director for the past 2 years. He was adored by his extended family at Lake Springs and will be missed by many.
Visitation will be at Memorial Park South Funeral Home, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 27, with a memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm from the chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
