James Oliver Cole

James Oliver Cole, 76, of Cumming died on March 20, 2010 at Embracing Hospice House. Born in Hapeville, he was the son of the late Emmett and Hessie Cole.

Mr. Cole was a member for more than 50 years of Hapeville Masonic Lodge, #590 and also was a Shriner. He was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Red Oak. He worked for Delta Airlines for 35 years and served as a bailiff for Clayton County.

Mr. Cole is survived by his bride of 53 years, Nita L. Cole of Cumming; daughter, Cathy (Scott) Cunningham of Flowery Branch; grandson, Lyman Scott Cunningham, Jr. of Flowery Branch; and granddaughter, Emily Nicole Cunningham of Cumming.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 2:00 â
