Hubert 'Bill' McIntyre

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday March 23, 2010 in the Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel for Mr. Hubert "Bill" McIntyre, 80 of Cleveland. The Rev. Hugh Skelton and Rev. Steve Snider will officiate. Interment will be at 1:30 p.m. in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Tucker, Ga. The family will recieve friends from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday March 22, 2010 at the funeral home.

Born in Hall County, Mr. McIntyre died Saturday March 20, 2010 at his residence. He was the son of the late Bill and Minnie Payne McIntyre. Mr. McIntyre was a former resident of Decatur for over 30 years. He was retired from General Motors with over 30 years of service. Mr. McIntyre served in the United States Navy and was a member of Trinity Chapel in Decatur. He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Vera Vaughan McIntyre.

He is survived by three sons and daughter; Edward and Wanda McIntyre, Cleveland; Wendell McIntyre, Lilburn; Randy and Tracy McIntyre, Grayson; Rebecca McIntyre, Decatur; brother, Frank and Peggy McIntyre, New Hampshire; sister, Jeanette Cook, Gainesville; grandchildren; Chris, Tim, and Wendi; one great grandchild, Kaleigh and a host of other relatives also survive.
