Glenn Carroll White

Obituary Date: Wednesday, March 3, 2010
Glenn Carroll White, age 67, of the Sky Lake Community, Sautee, passed away Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born in Cheraw, SC on April 6, 1942, he was the son of the late George and Julia Quick White. Mr. White retired from GTE as a senior manager with 20 plus years of dedicated service and after retirement, Mr. White was employed as an agent with Caldwell Bankers Shield Heritage. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and was a member of Carry B. Fish Masonic Lodge #346 F. & A.M. in Sarasota, FL. He served his country proudly in the United States Coast Guard as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed electronics, playing the guitar, raising tropical birds, training his dogs and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Streeter.

Surviving are his wife, Linda White of the Sky Lake Community; daughters and sons-in-law, Carol & Michael Mutert of Plant City, FL and Elizabeth & David Jordan of Overland Park, KS; sisters, Margaret Brock of Lexington, SC and Sara Watford of Timmonsville, SC; grandchildren, Lindsey Mutert, Austin Jordan, Matthew Mutert, Keegan Jordan, Eliab Jordan and Truitt Jordan.

Memorial services are 4:30 pm Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Pete Grana officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Clarkesville Lutheran Mission, PO Box 1154, Toccoa, GA 30577.
