Ruby Nell Anderson

Mrs. Ruby Nell Anderson, age 76, of Dahlonega died Sunday, February 28, 2010.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Dahlonega. She had lived in Dahlonega for the past 30 years. She was retired from Gold City Nursing Home. Mrs. Anderson was a member Hickory Grove CME Church.

She was the daughter of the late Aldophus and Flora Whelchel.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by daughters, Natalyn Patterson, Atlanta, Renee Patterson, Dahlonega; sons, Dino Anderson, Dahlonega, Johnny Lewis Anderson, Cedric Whelchel, and James Anderson, all of Chicago, Donald Anderson, Atlanta, Ernest Anderson, Dahlonega, and Tyrone Anderson, Athens; brother, J.D. Whelchel, Dahlonega; grandchildren, Marlon Hall, Malik Anderson, Devonte Anderson, Diamontae Anderson, Latoya Patterson, Deandra Edmond Williams, Antionette Snyder, and Kenny Anderson. A host of great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Hickory Grove CME Church. Rev. Joseph Harvey will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Flower girls will be family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega.
