Ivie Funeral Home announces services for Mamie Lou Turner, 94, of Commerce who died late Thursday afternoon, February 25, 2010, in Cleveland. Born in Banks County, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Flanagan Beck and was also predeceased by a son, Howard J. Turner. She was the widow of Quilla Golden Turner.
Survivors include her children, Jerry J. Turner of Carnesville, Lillie Martin of Cleveland; brothers, Rufus Beck of Commerce, Curtis Beck of Jefferson,; sisters, Vernell Evans of Commerce, Eddie Pearl Wiley and Sara Covington, both of Homer; 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mamie Lou Turner will be conducted on Saturday, February 27th at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Apple Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening, February 26th from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
