Wanda Kay Armstead

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010 at Gillsville Baptist Church for Wanda Kay Armstead, age 49, of Lula. The Rev. Bill Calhoun and Rev. Jeff Morgan will officiate. Interment will follow in Gillsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00p.m. to 6:00p.m. and 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. Wednesday, February 24th, at the funeral home. Ms. Armstead passed away Tuesday, February 23rd, at her residence following a sudden illness.

Ms. Armstead was born in Dennison, Texas to Johnnie and Doris Armstead. She was an E.R. Nurse at Northside Hospital in Cumming and was a member of Gillsville Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter, Rachael Ashe, Buford; fiancé Eddy Browning, Lula; brother, Ira Armstead, Athens; sisters, Beverly Hulsey, Lula, Diane Sims, Winterville; and grandchild Logan Ashe.
