Irene Waters Forrester

Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00p.m. Thursday February 25 for Irene Waters Forrester age 87 of Gainesville . The Rev. Larry Flanagan will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and 6:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Forrester passed away Monday February 22 at Bell Minor Nursing Home.
Mrs. Forrester was born in Hall County but lived in Dalton from 1964 to 2008. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1939. She was a charter member of Lakewood Baptist Church and was very active in the First Baptist Church in Dalton . She was active in the church choir, GA Squares Square Dancing Group and was very thoughtful in remembering birthdays and sending cards.

Survivors include Son and Daughter in law Doug & Cheryl Forrester, Gainesville , Brother & Sister in law Richard & Shirley Waters, Chattanooga , TN , Grandchildren Scott & Tonya Forrester, Gainesville , Todd & Lauren Forrester, Athens , Great Grandchild Carter Forrester, Gainesville, Niece Janet Hudson, Chattanooga , TN , Nephew and Wife Richard Waters Jr. & Vicki, Chattanooga, TN.
