James Michael Cochran, Sr., age 68 of Dacula died Saturday, February 20, 2010. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Hamilton Mill Memorial Gardens, Buford. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 25, 2010 from 12:00 until time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Cochran was born in Anderson, SC and lived in the metro Atlanta area the past 8 years. He was a retired Systems Analyst with the US Government.
Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his father, Leland Aaron Cochran, Jr. and sister Donna Jarmillo. Michael is survived by his wife Nancy Cochran, Dacula; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Michael J. Shamp, PA; sons and daughters-in-law, James Michael Cochran, Jr. and Terese, MS, Jeffery Alan Cochran and Kelly Lynn, Dacula; grandchildren, Christine Shamp, Taylor Cochran, Kallie Cochran, Stephanie Shamp, Stuart Cochran, Rebecca Shamp, Paxton Cochran, Chase Cochran, Cameron Cochran; mother, Dorothy Cochran, CA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Leland Aaron Cochran, III and Robin, CA, Wade Cochran and Jeanne, AZ, Gary Cochran and Debra, CO; sister and brother-in-law, Harriett and Jerry Gooch, KS.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Gwinnett County Humane Society.
