Mr. Douglas Davis

Mr. Douglas Davis, age 56, of Cleveland, GA died Feb. 20, 2010.

Mr. Davis was born in Lumpkin County June 22, 1953 and had lived in Cleveland for a number of years. He was a truck driver and was of the Baptist faith.

He was the son of the late Homer Davis and Mary Lou Pruitt Davis.

He is survived by daughters and son-in-law, Jennifer and Michael Johnson, Stockbridge, GA, Mary Davis, Barnesville, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Kathy Davis, Locust Grove, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glad and Hazel Davis, Dahlonega, GA, Leonard and Charlene Davis, Cleveland, GA, Dudley and Sheril Davis, Dahlonega, GA, Kenneth and Annie Pruitt, Dahlonega, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan Martin, Cleveland, GA, Diane and Ronnie Ellis, Cleveland, GA, Christine Moss and Rodney Gee, Cleveland, GA, Joyce and Jack Fortner, Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Cassandra Davis, Makayla McClure, Angelique Johnson, Aaliyah Harris, Jake Fricker, Lauren Fricker, Cameron Johnson, Matthew Sweatman, Alex Damm, and Austin Damm. Numerous other relatives also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. Davis is scheduled for 1 PM Wednesday Feb. 24, 2010 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Dean Bryant will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11 AM until 1 PM and immediately following the memorial service.
