Oliver Henry Hamrick, Jr

Oliver Henry Hamrick, Jr., 76, of Cumming died at Embracing Hospice House on February 19, 2010. Born in Mobile, AL, he was the son of the late Oliver and Gertrude Hamrick.

Mr. Hamrick served in the Air Force, reaching the rank of Captain. He received a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Auburn University and worked as a consulting engineer.

He is survived by his daughter, Daphne (Jim) Ritchie of Cumming; son, Todd Hamrick and fiancée Teresa Martin; sister, Mina (Buck) Bolton of Mobile, AL; brothers, Stuart (Helen) Hamrick of Cumming and Maynard (Shirley) Hamrick of Auburn, AL; and many extended family members.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, February 22, 1010 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 â
