Olean Ramey Gaddis

Funeral services for Olean Ramey Gaddis, 84, of Gainesville, will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Cools Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Franklin Grant, Rev. Charles Grant and Rev. Gary Wilson will officiate. Mrs. Gaddis will lie in state at the church from 1:30 p.m. until the service hour. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and on Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.



Born in White County she was the daughter of the late Grover and Tattie Mae Adams Ramey. She had lived most of her life in Hall County. She was a homemaker and a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Odell Gaddis, Sr.; sisters, Nettie Stargel and Nellie Sosebee and Bertha Satterfield and a brother, Edward Ramey.



Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Jack Bailey of Mt. Airy, Linda and Robert Coker, of Dahlonega, Sheila Gaddis of Gainesville, Marsha and Chuck Scott of Gainesville; sons and daughters-in-law, Odell and Mary Gaddis, Jr. of Gainesville, Milton and Betty Jean Gaddis of Buford, Glen and Debra Gaddis of Dahlonega; 12grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren; sisters, Geneva Forrester of Lula, Beulah Hulsey of Cleveland and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.



In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Parkway, Gainesville, GA 30501; or to the Auxiliary of Gideons International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN 37214.
