James A. Winters

Funeral services for James Arthur Winters, 65, of Gainesville, will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Junior Jones and Rev. Robert Ledford will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.



A lifetime resident of Hall County he was the son of the late Albert and Maybelle Hulsey Winters. He was a retired truck driver for Country Cupboards. He was member of Welcome Home Baptist Church. He was a Navy Veteran. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert Winters and Jerry Winters.



Survivors include his wife, Leda Emmett Winters of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, Phillip and Angie Winters of Salisbury, N.C.; daughters, Ginger Chapell of Gainesville, Windy Winters of Gainesville, Vickie Winters of Homer; son Richard Headrick of Gainesville; brother, Stanley Winters of Gainesville; grandchildren, Jessica, Savannah, Patrick, Johnathan, William and Tiffany; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
