James Walter Loudermilk, Jr.

Hillside Memorial Chapel announces the death of James Walter Loudermilk, Jr., age 60, of Mt. Airy, who passed away Thursday, February 11, 2010, at the VA Hospital in Dekalb County.

Mr. Loudermilk was born on April 12, 1949 in Mt. Airy. He was the son of the late James Walter and Lola Evans Loudermilk, Sr. Mr. Loudermilk was a US Army Veteran, having served in Vietnam for 14 months. Mr. Loudermilk was a member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church and he was a heavy equipment operator.

Survivors include daughter Amanda Colston of Rock Island, Illinois, son James Walter Loudermilk, III of Toccoa, sisters Hazel Lacount of Mt. Airy, Zebbie Ballew of Cornelia, and Gertrude Williams of Commerce, and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at Hillside Memorial Chapel funeral home on Friday, February 12, 2010 from 1:30 PM until 3:30 PM. Private burial services will be in Eastview Cemetery.
