Cathy Brown Russell, age 56, of Lula died February 11, 2010. She was a mentor to many and her shining example of faith touched many lives.
Mrs. Russell was born and spent her life in Hall County. Cathy was the daughter of the late Rev. William Cecil and EllaMae Dale Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Harold Russell, and her sister, Martha Brown Sargent.
Cathy was employed by the Warren-Featherbone Company for 29 years. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Christie Dawn Russell of Lula; grandchildren, Matthew Harold Dover of Lula, Ashleigh and Madison Boswell of Braselton; honorary daughter, Treva Sargent Boswell of Braselton; sisters, Linda Brown Tanner of Toccoa, Vickie Brown Rathbone of Gainesville, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. The Rev. Dwight Woodall will officiate, the eulogy will be offered by Allen Wade Rathbone II. Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens where Cathy will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Harold. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13th and from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 14th.
