Eric Loring Peterson

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2010, at 1:00 pm in Wards Funeral Home Chapel for Eric Loring Peterson, 51, of Cumming, Rev. Brent Shoemaker officiating with a private burial at a later time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Friday, February 12th at the funeral home. Eric was born in Atlanta on November 19, 1959. He proudly joined the United States Marine Corp and served his country in the Corps until an accident in Okinawa, Japan ended his active duty.

Eric was the proud father of 2 sons, Chase Alexander and Conner Ryan Peterson of Marietta. He is survived by his father, Frank E. Peterson, of Buford; mother, Judi McPherson-Garofalo and husband Barry, of Gainesville; his loving sister, Laurie DeForest and husband Mark, of Cumming; sister, Kathy Peterson James, of Little Rock, AR.; brothers, Wyatt Peterson and wife Wanda, of Cleveland, Kurt Peterson and Patrick Peterson, of Buford; nieces, Chelsea and Marissa Cantrell, Haley Peterson, April Duncan, Melissa Peterson and Stephany Peterson.

Eric was a loving father, son, brother and uncle and will be sorely missed.
