Mrs. Ruthie Bell Simpson, age 78, of Cumming, formerly of Gilbert, WV, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010. She was a member of Daves Creek Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Johnnie Simpson, Sr. and her son, Donnie Simpson.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Donald Ferguson of Ellijay; sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Sharon Simpson of Dahlonega and Johnnie Simpson, Jr. of Cumming; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 11th, from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
