Mr. Tony Joseph Savage, Sr., age 56, of Oakwood passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am Friday, February 12, 2010 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Oakwood City Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Fenlon and Rev. Scott Wilson will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the funeral home.
Mr. Savage was born in Habersham County. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Oakwood. He loved his family, grandchildren, antique cars and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, J.V. Savage.
Mr. Savage is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Clara (Orr) Savage of Oakwood; mother, Louise Savage; daughter, Lynn Grant and husband Shane, Gainesville; daughter, Pam Rider, Gainesville; son, Tony Savage, Jr., Oakwood; and daughter, Tracey Savage and Jason, Oakwood; grandchildren, Nathan Morris, Tiffany Rider, Megan Pardue; four brothers and two sisters; extended family Gary and Elaine Reed and Kathy Hembree.
