Eleanore K. Hall (nee Hardcastle) died after an extended illness at Lanier Village Estates nursing facility on February 5, 2010. Eleanore K. Hardcastle married Luther A. R. Hall on June 16, 1951 at the Episcopal Church in Lawrence, KS. Mrs. Hall was born on December 7, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA and moved to Gainesville in May 2001. Mrs. Hall grew up in Lansdowne, PA, but as an adult lived in PA, CA, TN, KS, DE, VA, NJ, SC. GA and Switzerland.
Eleanore Hall graduated from Lansdowne, PA High School and received a BS degree from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA and a MS degree in Textiles and Clothing from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Eleanore Hardcastle taught two years in high school at Clifton Heights, PA and then taught Home Economics at the University of Tennessee for one year and at the University of Kansas for one year before her marriage. After her marriage she taught Home Economics at a high school in Richmond, VA for one year and later at a high school in Old Tappan, NJ for 18 years. She retired from teaching in 1985.
Eleanore Hall enjoyed travelling all over the United States and widely in Europe.
Eleanore Hall has two daughters Sarah Hutchings of Dallas, TX and Sandy Morris of Norcross, GA, and four grandchildren.
Eleanore Hall was born and married as an Episcopalian, but later was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
A memorial service for Eleanore Hall will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, GA at 3 PM on Saturday March 20, 2010 followed by burial of her ashes at the columbarium at the church.
