Hilda Elder Bone

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mrs. Hilda Elder Bone, age 89, of Athens, formerly of Jefferson, who passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. Mrs. Bone, born in Jackson County, was a daughter of the late Elmer H. Elder and the late Ruth Webb Elder. She was a retired seamstress with Wilkins Industries and was a member of Galilee Christian Church. Mrs. Bone was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Bone; son, Harold Franklin Bone; and half-sister, Blanche Elder.

Survivors include her daughter, Mildred Elrod of Winder; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; half-sister, Charlotte Bonmener of Winder, half-brother, Tommy F. Elder of Auburn; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and one sister-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2010 from the Galilee Christian Church with Minister Tom Plank officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Boneâ
