Funeral services for Lucille Arrendale Franklin, age 77, of Turnerville will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 2:00 PM from the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Clarkesville. Dr. Bill Cashion, Dr. Don Samples, and Rev. Tommy Stowe will officiate with burial to follow the service in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Franklin passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2010, following a period of declining health.
Born in Habersham County on February 25, 1932, Mrs. Franklin was the daughter of the late Charles Augustus and Carrie Owensby Arrendale. Mrs. Franklin was a RN with Tugalo Home Health Agency and she was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Franklin is preceded in death by a brother, Phil Arrendale.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Franklin of Turnerville; daughter Sandra Kendall of Rome, daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Randy Franklin of Clarkesville; son and daughter-in-law Raymond, Jr., and Tonia Franklin of Turnerville; brother Jerry Arrendale of Cartersville; sisters Evelyn Shirley of Clarkesville, Susan Welborn of Florida, and Martha Welch of Mt. City; as well as seven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 5495 Highway 197 South, Clarkesville, on Friday, January 29, 2010, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
