Robert C. Cook, Sr.

Robert C. Cook, Sr., age 87, of Alto passed away on Monday, January 25, 2010, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a short illness.

Mr. Cook was born on August 31, 1922 to the late Clarence Neese Cook and Lilly Christine Butler Cook. Mr. Cook was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cornelia. He was also a member of the Currahee Mountain Good Sams RV Camping Group. Mr. Cook was a U.S. Navy Veteran having proudly served his country during World War II, receiving the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was a very accomplished wood worker.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Patricia Gilmore Cook, Alto; his daughter, Nancy Frazier, Elizabeth City, NC; his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. â
