Ethel Chastain Dale, age 84, of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at a private nursing facility.
Born in Habersham County, on July 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Julie Holcomb Chastain. Mrs. Dale was a member of Tiger Baptist Church and was a retired hairdresser. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dale was also preceded in death by her husband, Sam Dale.
Surviving are her sisters, Lavada Gerrin of Cornelia and Hazel Scroggs of Toccoa and brothers, Ernest and Herschel Key of Mt. Airy.
Graveside services are 4:00 pm Wednesday, January 27, 2010, from the Level Grove Cemetery.
